Support

I. Purpose

The Support Services Department exists to ensure that all primary departments—Infrastructure, Acquisitions, and Security—operate at peak efficiency through dedicated logistical, technical, and personnel-oriented assistance. This department doesn’t claim the spotlight—it powers it. From delivering ammo to rerouting power, from field repairs to crew resupply, Support Services is the operational glue that holds the entire base-building apparatus together.

It’s not about flashy combat or massive construction—it’s about making sure the mission doesn't stall out due to things like fuel shortages, missing personnel, broken gear, or disorganized comms.

II. Core Functions

  1. Logistics Coordination

    • Manage all material transport, cross-departmental delivery, and priority queueing to ensure Infrastructure builds, Security defends, and Acquisitions gathers—without delay.

  2. Maintenance & Field Repairs

    • Conduct routine and emergency repairs for vehicles, turrets, tools, and facilities, either on-site or via rapid deployment teams.

  3. Personnel & Crew Support

    • Handle crew assignments, shift rotations, morale resources, and accommodations to keep operational staff functional and ready.

  4. Resource Allocation Management

    • Balance fuel, power, medical, and supply inventories between departments based on evolving mission needs and situational demand.

  5. Medical & Recovery Services

    • Provide triage, medevac, stabilization, and long-term recovery for wounded personnel in the field or at base facilities.

  6. Comms & Data Flow Integration

    • Ensure secure, synchronized communications and data sharing between departments, especially in high-risk or high-tempo situations.

  7. Mission Support & Redundancy Planning

    • Provide contingency planning, emergency response frameworks, and backup personnel/assets during operational spikes or crisis conditions.

III. Strategic Objectives

  • Deliver seamless, behind-the-scenes operational continuity across all departments, regardless of mission type or sector conditions.

  • Anticipate and mitigate logistical friction before it disrupts frontline or construction efforts.

  • Provide adaptive redundancy, ensuring that no department fails due to lack of personnel, tools, or supplies.

  • Become the bridge between strategic goals and tactical execution, optimizing coordination and output across the board.

IV. Departmental Structure

  • Logistics & Delivery Division – Moves supplies, schedules shipments, and handles last-mile routing across planetary surfaces and orbital drops.

  • Maintenance & Engineering Support – Keeps everything running, from drone platforms and atmospheric generators to tractor beams and comm towers.

  • Medical & Welfare Division – Supports combat medics, runs medical bays, and maintains crew wellness and readiness.

  • Ops Integration Division – Tracks mission status across departments, coordinates deployments, and resolves interdepartmental bottlenecks in real time.

  • Personnel Services Division – Assigns, rotates, and tracks personnel while handling rest schedules, crew accommodations, and mental health briefings.
